#CEDHou: 2.10.18 @GRB

My junior year of high school my mom took me to Career and Education Day (CED) at the GRB Convention Center. We had heard it was a good event to get information about college but I had no idea it would open my eyes to the possibilities beyond graduation. I talked to a lot of people that day and years later, as an undergrad at UH, I returned with my sorority to host the College 101 panel. I’ve always been fond of the Houston Hispanic Forum (HHF) because I know the impact CED has on a student first hand. Over the years I’ve volunteered with the organization in different ways but today I come full circle as I’ll be executing the event operations for CED 2018.  I invite everyone to attend with their middle or high school age kid(s) and learn about the countless opportunities available for students.      ~MDuran

#GivingTuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. After people around the world participate in shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is centered around charity and donating to your favorite cause.

On Tuesday, November 28th we invite you to join the movement and support our client Pan American Round Table of Houston. 

For over 76 years PART Houston has been offering scholarships, promoting cultural exchange programs, participating in member projects and developing a network of community leaders in the Greater Houston Area. What motivates Duran Concepts?

What motivates us? Positive energy, goals, persistence, drive, creativity, challenging the norms & collaboration. Today we had two meetings that included all of these qualities. The first was with a very talented & young designer looking to build his brand and the second was with a local non-profit that wants to challenge the status quo.
There is this energetic, inventive entrepreneurial vibe in the city but you have to be open to the possibilities or you will completely miss out on opportunities. We love what our friends are doing so look for future posts showcasing their ventures over the course of the year.
