It was an honor to have two Olympians and hometown athletes, Marlen Esparzaย andย Emily Chan, join us virtually and in-person atย the unveiling of the “Female Power” mural by Betirri.

Fans were able to meet Marlen and learn about her upcoming world title fight on June 19th.

We want to thank theย Pasadena Economic Development Corporationย for commissioning this powerful piece of public art and all the elected officials that came out to support art in our hometown.

Mayor Jeff Wagner, CM Thomas Schoenbein, CM-Elect Pat Van Houte, Pasadena ISD Trustee-Elect Paola Gonzalez Fusilier, and Pasadena ISD Trustee-Elect Crystal Davila.

We look forward to hosting more art + sports focused community events in the near future.

A special shout out toย Bianca Bucaram of Bucaram PR Group for making this event a success with incredible media coverage.

#CEDHou: 2.10.18 @GRB

My junior year of high school my mom took me to Career and Education Day (CED) at the GRB Convention Center. We had heard it was a good event to get information about college but I had no idea it would open my eyes to the possibilities beyond graduation. I talked to a lot of people that day and years later, as an undergrad at UH, I returned with my sorority to host the College 101 panel. I’ve always been fond of the Houston Hispanic Forum (HHF) because I know the impact CED has on a student first hand. Over the years I’ve volunteered with the organization in different ways but today I come full circle as I’ll be executing the event operations for CED 2018.ย  I invite everyone to attend with their middle or high school age kid(s) and learn about the countless opportunities available for students.ย  ย  ย ย ~MDuran
