ArtFutbolHTX @ Pitch 25

We want to thank Prospanica Houston for being an incredible partner on our first ArtFutbolHTX event of 2019. This event highlights our diversity and what Houston is known for: art, sports and networking at the hottest spots in town.

Together we kicked off the 2019 Houston Dynamo season, learned more about Prospanica’s programming for the year, and celebrated the latest mural by local visual artist Betirri. Pitch 25 Beer Park’s owner and former Dynamo player, Brian Ching, was in attendance for the signing of the mural he commissioned.

Guests enjoyed lite bites by the incredible kitchen staff at Pitch 25 as well as signature cocktails and beers from the impressive selection they have on tap. At the end of the night some guests won door prizes ranging from a limited edition Betirri designed & autographed shirt to tickets to upcoming Houston Dynamo and Gold Cup games.

It’s not every day you get to see a Tweet from former US Men’s National Team (USMNT) member and Houston native , Stuart Holden, develop into a full blown celebrity soccer match.

However, Iย had the pleasure of working with Stu for many years when he started his professional soccer career at the Houston Dynamo and Kick In for Houston showcases the incredible and caring individual he is. Stu always volunteered for the community events and made sure to stay until everyone had their picture or autograph.

Thanks to the support from fans and community partners, Stu has rounded up some of the biggest names in sports including World Series champ Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros, USMNT member Landon Donovan, USWNT member Mia Hamm, NFL star Chad Ochocinco and NBA great Steve Nash to participate in the action packed fundraiser. This celebrity match co-hosted by Dynamo Charities takes place this Saturday, December 16th at BBVA Compass Stadiumย and it’s one you don’t want to miss.

There are many ways to support the fundraising efforts:

  1. Purchase a ticket for yourself OR donate a ticket to a Hurricane Harvey victim, tickets to the game start at $30
  2. Make a donation to one of your favorite players which will directly benefit the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
  3. Spread the word and get others involved

Net proceeds from the game will benefit the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.ย Fans everywhere can tune into the match broadcast on FS1 or Fox Deportes.

Hurricane Harvey took a big toll on the Greater Houston Area dumping 51 inches of rain and causing damages estimated to reach $75 Billion. Many celebrities have stepped up over the last couple of months including local athletes like JJ Watt & professional teams like the Houston Astros but this is a long recovery and help is still needed across the area. Please consider donating your time, talents and/or funds to certified charities doing work in the community.
